Natural language analysis and navigation of geocoded data in healthcare

Our project addresses healthcare professional’ challenges in interpreting large datasets by enabling them to use natural language to interact with and visualize data. Our solution aims to enhance both accessibility and actionable insights through a user-friendly interface.

To resolve these issues, We built upon an existing web based React visual interface created by a previous Professional Experience group and combined it with a Node.js backend to implement a Large Language Model (LLM) workflow to analyze the users question, fetch the relevant data, analyze the fetched data, provide a natural language answer and configure the front end to act as a visual aid to the data insights provided by the LLM.

We successfully integrated large language models into the web app allowing healthcare professionals to interact with and interpret the data in a simple and natural way.
Our client was satisfied with the project and we have identified a clear path forward for improvement with additional visualizations such as 2D graph generation.

This tool will allow healthcare professionals without a background in data analysis or computing to analyze and understand the data using regular conversational skills through natural language.
Throughout this project we gained hands on experience working with web-frameworks like Node.js and React and working with and hosting Large Language Models.
