This system, developed in Microsoft PowerApps, is an efficient way for schools to manage the details of their students with ease. Features of this student management system includes:
– submitting forms to add details of a new student (name, parent details, grade etc)
– submitting forms to add test scores for students
– simple yet appealing user interfaces where staff can view the personal details and previous examination details of students
– interactive dashboard which constantly updates based on the students being added.

The app aims to uphold relevant social and ethical issues, such as inclusivity. An example of this can be seen through the options of Male, Female, Prefer Not to Say, and Non-Binary for choosing gender. Data inputted from the forms are connected to their respective tables in the dataverse (a database in Microsoft PowerApps), which constantly updates based on user actions and can only be accessed by the staff member using the app – ensuring privacy. All important data that is being inputted by the user is validated. For example, the user can only type 10 digits for the phone number, and emails must contain the @ symbol for it to be validated.

The system addressed SDG 4 – Quality Education. Many schools, especially those in regional areas, that lack the appropriate technology are unable to efficiently manage their students. This results in a decrease in quality of education for students. This app aims to assist these struggling schools, keeping them organised and coordinated.
