Water Maze

Our idea is to develop a Pac-Man-inspired game that addresses the SDG goal of Clean Water. The user will collect water droplets and jars (power-ups) in a maze to reach a water goal. The objective is to raise awareness of water conservation through engaging gameplay. We used the app studio code to create our game. We automatically generated, by code, water bottles (sprites) and a maze. The user can move their character using the arrows and try to get through the maze. When the user collects all the water bottles, the score going up, trying to get the high score (SDG water goal). Our steps are to make sure to get the maze and be able to randomly generate the maze every time, and then try randomly generating the sprite water bottles. The project successfully resulted in a functional game that educates players on the importance of water conservation. Some limitations include basic graphics and simplified gameplay mechanics, but the game effectively raises awareness of clean water goals. This project benefits users by encouraging water conservation awareness through fun gameplay. We learned effective ways to integrate educational goals into games, improving our skills in digital design and environmental education.
